Besides research activities post graduate education is a major concern within EUROPROX. The excellent educational and research capacities of world-leading research institutes will be combined to form a centre of excellence from which both doctoral students and scientist will benefit. The programme aims at establishing a highly qualified advanced study beyond the level of a Diploma or Master of Science. The following training measures will be open to those interested:
- exchange of academic staff
- PhD students exchange (six months each)
- exchange of Postdoctoral fellows
- invitations for visiting scientists
- shortcourse program of ECOLMAS
The shortcourse program will be provided by the Graduate School ECOLMAS ("European Graduate College in Marine Sciences"). ECOLMAS combines well-established post-graduate study programmes from different institutions:

NSG (Netherlands Research School of Sedimentary Geology)
RCOM (Research Center Ocean Margins)
NEBROC (Netherlands Bremen Oceanography)
